6/25/2008 - Charlotte 49ers women's basketball incoming freshman guard Rachelle Coward (Nova Scotia, Canada/Oak Hill Academy) has been invited to tryout for a spot on the 2008 Canadian Junior Women's National Team. 6/9/2008 - Charlotte 49ers women's basketball coach Karen Aston announced the hiring of former Charlotte 49ers standout Sabrina Gregory as the Director of Basketball Operations. 5/12/2008 - Charlotte 49ers women's basketball coach Karen Aston has announced that former Charlotte prep standout point guard Kendria Holmes (Charlotte, NC/Victory Christian) will transfer into the 49ers program from Providence College. Holmes, who earned Big East Conference All-Freshman team honors in 2007, led the Friars in scoring as a sophomore last year averaging 11.3 points while dishing out 117 assists. Read Full Release
