Nagy Eliminated at US Amateur
8/20/2008 - Georgia's Adam Mitchell won the last three holes to eliminate 4th-seeded Corey Nagy (Charlotte, N.C./Vance H.S.), 2up, in the first round of match play at the 108th USGA US Amateur at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, Wednesday. Nagy had qualified tied for third out of 315 participants at 3-under par through two stroke-play rounds to earn the fourth seed in the 64-player bracket.

Nagy Finishes 3rd In Stroke Play Qualifying at US Amateur
8/19/2008 - Charlotte 49ers two-time all-America Corey Nagy (Charlotte, N.C./Vance H.S.) shot a three-under par 67 in the second and final round of stroke play at the 108th Annual USGA US Amateur at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, Tuesday. He stands at -3 after two rounds. The top 64 players following the second round will advance to Wednesday's bracketed match play.
